Smugglers are far between admitably, but I wouldn't worry to much. just means you'll have more room to fill the smugglerrole in this guild Slide ;P
But yeah, as have been said, I too like a smaller, more personal group rather than a large impersonal one. Would still be nice with some people so there's always some to help others out, but that would be a definition of the quality of the players rather then the quantity of them.
Beside, as things are now it seems that KTM have a solid base so far. No reason to add too much lose stuff on top of that before we have had a go at the game itself and get to know our own cababilities in the SWtOR-Universe.

Re: Bump for your future
Any thoughts on the alliance request from "the x group" on our tor recruitment thread.
I checked the posters history, and he has posted that same message on several guild pages, seems like copy and paste spam, which is rather lame.
I'll bet he didn't research us at all.
Here is his post;
"Hello! I'm the Leader of The X Group. I just wanted to stop by and give you my warmest welcome. Would you be open to an alliance? We are arguably the best PvE guild out there, but I know other very good guilds. I have about 10 offers for alliances and I'm still deciding. I'm offering you a spot because you are elite guild and you are primarily PvE! In my experience, international alliances are the most productive on the battefield. Honestly, I think an alliance between our guilds could make a massive mark on the battlefield. If your interested, post on our thread. No Private Messages Please. "
Bolded for bantha poodoo.

This is excellent
I'll give him a free Protocol Droid for his optimism!

Re: Bump for your future
I sincerely don't understand how you can be the best at anything when the game isn't out yet.
I've responded as tactfully as I could, I do think the guy is fishing and there is now way in hell i am going to reply in his thread just to give him some bumpage.
The offer does seem somewhat dubious but I will look into it aswell before dismissing it out of hand. Thanks for letting me know Doon.
Edit: I've looked at their public forums and that was enough to formulate a "no".

Glad you declined that Kaetha... they seemed a bit well odd if you wish. And indeed the spamming of such "alliance offers" is dubious at best. Plus their statement of "being the best"... uhuh...

They don't seem to understand just what an "alliance" would mean. The best ally is one what share your views on many things, not one that is random, as they seem to think.
Besides, untill the guilds have had a chance to get some experience with the game and it dynamics, we won't know if there's other like minded players out there.

Re: Bump for your future
I've seen a few offers like this, it's just mass marketing which always makes my skin crawl. If TKM is anything, it's not mass marketed. I'm really happy we're going to be a small/medium community.
Quality, no quantity.
There are some massive guilds already formed in SWTOR, and I know people in them. They say the level of activity is great, but it's almost impossible to get to know anyone or be noticed unless you put in some serious work.
I have a hard core real life job, I don't need another one..: )

Re: Bump for your future
With the approval of the powers that be, I'd like to post this message on our public forum. I think this is what most of us agree with, so let me know if you have doubts, objections, suggestions, etc.
The Kestrel Minority is a close-knit community without the aim of operating on a large scale.
Rather, we're having a good time among friends, seeking to enjoy all aspects of SW:TOR.
At this moment, our main interests lean towards socializing, exploration and roleplaying, but we intend to dig into everything, of course.
In the story, TKM isn't a large organization but a low-profile gathering of individuals seeking to achieve aims for the Republic by operating under the radar, bypassing protocol and regulations if necessary. Where an official body has to stop for political reasons, TKM gets things done.
Troopers out of eradicated squads, Jedi in dispute with certain Order members, and not-so-legitimate businessmen with the most decent of intentions (obviously) sometimes find their way into TKM.
If this sounds like the guild for you, or you seek to ally yourself with us, do visit our site!
