Likely to be a mission from Makeb, kind of like the recent Gree one that had you fly around talking to droids.

Some new kind of handy stuff from the official forums, posting it below for those who don't monitor the dev-tracker.
When 2.0 is released Tionese, Columi, Daily, and Black Hole commendations will be versioned into Classic Commendations with the following ratios:

Tionese Commendations - 6:1
Columi Commendations - 4:1
Daily Commendations - 4:1
Black Hole Commendations - 1:1

Please note we are still undergoing testing, so these ratios could change.
There will be a special overflow cap for Classic Commendations once 2.0 is released to accommodate those with large amounts of commendations. At this time, we have this cap at 800 commendations. Any commendations that exceed this amount will unfortunately be lost.

We encourage everyone to spend their commendations to ensure they do not exceed this overflow cap.
Might want to think about if it's worth letting them be converted or if you should use them before 2.0.

Player question:
I dont know if im right on this or not, but they are taking away rakata and below gear in 2.0, as well as anything below WH in pvp gear. Doesnt that mean no more Black-red/Black-blue crystals from the mainhands?
Dev answer:
Hi all, thanks for bringing this up!

You can rest assured we are currently planning to have these crystals drop from the Scum & Villainy Operation, both difficulty modes.

Some new stuff from Dulfy.

New crafting materials and schematics.
http://dulfy.net/2013/02/24/swtor-patch ... chematics/
Wonder why you can't get the new high level crafting materials (op drops) from containers for fleet comms any more :(

There will be a new organization to gain reputation with in 2.0, among the rewards are three speeders using two models we previously haven't been able to get. One is a slightly different version of the Cybertech speeders the other is the common Taxi speeder that many have wanted for quite a while, seems they will be a scanning item hunt like HK and we'll have to buy scanners that can only be used a limited amount of tmes. Vendor has some armour as well.

Just saw a couple of new posts over on dulfy. There are spoilers in there but they are hidden away in spoiler tags, still, that's only for the story, if you don't want to spoil Makeb at all I suggest you don't follow the link.

The post also contains brief information about two new items, macrobinoculars and seeker droids and their quest chains.
http://dulfy.net/2013/03/26/swtor-makeb ... s-preview/

As you might know since it was on the PTS there is a new reputation faction in 2.0 called the Galactic Solutions Industries who among other things have some neat speeders, think I already posted about their items. Anyway, this new faction will have will have a series of five daily missions, 4 solo 1 heroic 2+ on 4 planets, Makeb, Alderaan, Hoth and Tatooine, sounds nice.

Natural there will also be a reputation faction for Makeb and a vendor to go along with it, some information on that is in the first link. Items include special armour and weapons.

Figured I'd post the latest details regarding commendations in 2.0. Got some in here already but some stuff has changed.

Conversion Ratios
  • Commendations from individual planets have been converted into a single "Planetary Commendation" type. Vendors that previously traded items for specific planet commendations now trade the same items for Planetary Commendations.
  • Tionese Crystals have been converted to the new "Planetary Commendation" type and no longer drop from any content.
  • Daily, Tionese, Columi, and Black Hole Commendations have all been converted to Classic Commendations. Missions and loot that previously awarded these commendations will now award Classic Commendations instead.
  • Daily, Tionese, Columi, and Black Hole Commendations in your inventory will be converted to Classic Commendations at the following ratios:
    • Tionese Commendations - 6:1
    • Columi Commendations - 4:1
    • Daily Commendations - 4:1
    • Black Hole Commendations - 1:1
Caps and Maximums
The Patch Notes will include the following weekly limits for each Commendation type, which will reset at the same time as the weekly Operations lock out reset schedule. Please note that these have been updated and are not the same numbers that were on the PTS:
  • Planetary Commendations - Unlimited Weekly; 50 Maximum
  • Classic Commendations - 200 Weekly; 400 Maximum
  • Basic Commendations - 300 Weekly; 600 Maximum
  • Elite Commendations - 200 Weekly; 400 Maximum
  • Ultimate Commendations - 150 Weekly; 300 Maximum
Additionally, with Game Update 2.0 there will be a one-time "overflow" limit in place that will allow players to go above the maximum. Planetary Commendations will have an overflow limit of 100, and Classic Commendations will have an overflow limit of 800. Basic, Elite, and Ultimate Commendations do not have overflow limits. The overflow limits are not in addition to the maximums amounts above; they're the total number of Commendations of that type that players will be able to hold after Game Update 2.0. Anything converted above the overflow limit will be lost. Players who have used the overflow limit and have more than the maximum number of Commendations will not be able to gain new Commendations until they fall below the maximum amounts.
Extra Info
It was pointed out that the conversions I gave don't list the Tionese Crystal:Planetary Commendation ratio, which is 2:1. We'll get the Patch Notes updated with this info as well.
Burtlebe wrote:What level will we be able to purchase the pvp gear?
In Game Update 2.0, Warzone Commendations will not change at all from their current functionality. There will not be a weekly limit and the current cap will remain at their current levels.
Burtlebe wrote:Also the PVE gear you get with comms at 55 are these restricted to purchase at 55 or can you buy them as you get comms enroute from 50 to 55?
I double checked with the developers on this one: All gear that can be purchased with Classic Commendations will be level 50, so you'll be able to purchase those pieces at level 50. As for gear purchased with Planetary Commendations, the Makeb gear is currently level 52, but you'll be able to use other Planetary vendors to purchase gear below level 52. On a side but related note: Level 55 PvP Gear will not be able to be purchased until level 55.

It is good to know, we will not loose the planetary commendations. In general I am satisfied with this solution.
Xoana (shadow)
Mortel (scoundrel)
Sennera (sage)
Grao-tak/Grao (gunslinger/vanguard)
Botond (guardian)
Lirian (commando)
Jázmin (sentinel)

I only looked at the $muggler stuff, but looks pretty decent. Definitely annoyed that I'm still a point short of getting SRM and flechette round. I guess that'd be a little too good though.
Probably end up something like http://tinyurl.com/d9cldwj
Not sure about those last 3 points yet

Well, I'm pretty sure that's by design. You're not supposed to get to the top of on tree and beyond tier two in another, would end up too powerful.

Hmm, hybrid build, interesting, never thought about trying to do one for scoundrel.

Yea, I'm sure there's good reasoning behind it, would still be good though. That HoT on it's own would be pretty handy, especially for an otherwise "full" scrapper.
Every now and then I go heavily into scrapper just to spend a few war zones murdering people, but for a while now I've been some variation of pretty much the build I posted. Enough into scrapper to get fight or flight so I can vanish without negating anything, and the rest into sawbones. Sometimes the points in stopping power get moved into better heals, but the root is pretty handy in pvp. I'm kinda missing the double sound effects from flying fists lately though, so may respec soon. Sometimes you get away with not being spotted as a healer for a while too, especially if you run into the middle of a fight and start throwing punches and the insta-heals around. I assume they just think I'm a rubbish DPS. And then if I do get spotted I get to kick em back hard enough to be an issue, and/or vanish and find a safe spot to lick my wounds before jumping back in.
I've healed through many a hardmode and haven't really missed the top rungs of the healing tree (not sure if my patients have though!). It's a pretty fun build, crits on SRM proc upper hand (which you get three stacks of) so if you've got that rolling on a couple of people you can pretty much spam sucker punch forever, pause for a backblast and to refresh the srm's or burst heal where required, then keep them punches rolling :)

Think my current build is a lot like: http://tinyurl.com/d2jo89c
