They've just deployed phase 2 of the alpha. Has multiplayer in it now. Looks like it's shaping up nicely. Still can't wait to see some of the non-combat stuff.

As much as I'd love to get my hands on this there's still not a chance that I'll put down $200 for alpha access. Once the first beta stage is announced I might just go for that premium beta though. Base game is $35, DLC pass for access to all future DLC is another $35 and that's included in the premium beta so another $30 to get in early and see the game come together, yea, that's reasonable.

Their alpha has gone to stage three. Now includes docking and ship outfitting.

Don't know if you pledged for any tiers Maxwell but if your in the premium beta group you can now log in to the store and download the first alpha that was released, the one with a set of singleplayer scenarios. Pretty great finally getting my hands on some gameplay, just as good as the videos.

The premium beta will start the 30th of May if everything goes according to plans.
