Unsure, they have not really divulged much detail about the economy they have in store, yet. Hopefully it is something they will be releasing information on in the not too distant future or at E3 this week if we're lucky!

I am basing my unit's on them keeping the system cannon to Star Wars and/or to Knights of the Old Republic, which was as Republic Credits. SWG also used Credit's for its in-game currency. I think it's unlikely Bioware would opt for the Gold route.

I also heard somebody saying that standard Speeder on the current market could fetch about 20k, but it might be just a rumor.
