I must concur... functional ranks are working fine (roleplay officer, custodian etc)

Well commandos and vanguards arent really grunts of Republic Army, they are special forces and probably got Officer Rank along with it. Typical stereotypes dont really apply here, more close analogy would be Air Forces ranks.

I have good grace of personally knowing one such group in my life , Alpha in my country , and all of them are officers. Lowest Rank is Lieutenant .

If you wish to have some structure around those ranks , so they are given inside due to heroism and determination im all up to it. If troopers will have something resembling line of command that can be only good for RP and PvP.



It doesnt really mean anything apart from those who are trooper and in no way corelate with guild ranks and for all non - military that should seem like "oh , another military man".
