Just thought I'd post it here for anyone interested who isn't keeping track of news.

Funcom just announced pre-orders for the Secret World, if you pre-order you get a few in-game items and access to weekend betas starting the 11th of may (your character will carry over between the weekends) and of course up to four days early access when the game actually launches in June.

Is it just me or is the beta starting at a really late point?

Anyone here who will pre-order (yet)? I'm kind of on the fence and about pre-ordering in time for the beta weekends or wait until it's closer to launch.

As for the Illuminati, you seriously expecting less blackmailing among the Templars or Dragons? Well I guess you don't need to worry about blackmails if your with the Dragon, not organized enough, wouldn't expect to be safe though you can't really trust any of these organizations...

For all you who pre-ordered and will have access to the beta weekends, thought I'd let you know that we will be able to download it all soon, as in before the first weekends starts. I tweeted them yesterday when they were talking about the upcoming weekend and I actually got a response.

We should get a email with details. I'm still waiting for my beta code thought, pre-ordered just yesterday.
