I don't have a Facebook profile, I have a Hatebook where I store up all the non-answered friend requests in my own little 'hate' list.

Hehe, and seriously I do do that! But it's more a case of:

You bullied me at school, I don't care if you are a million-dollar stock broker.

You broke my heart, b*&^%, I don't care if you're still single since I'm happily married.

You're my dad, come on, dude, why would I want to add you to my Facebook and have you embarrass me online as well?!?!?... Fine! I'll add ya then...

But yeah, Facebook, ain't really my thing...

Ignorance may be a bliss but people around me who don't use facebook sometimes get left behind when there's some event or something happening. It's very practical, people make to big of a deal from the privacy thing.

I keep contact with my students on facebook, and with parents, so I stay there out of RP. Most of my older students can understand that a teacher has her or his life after school, but the younger ones and the parents are a different thing, so, I stay away there but will be here.

There will be a request from a mighty, bearded man called TOR, the DESTROYER.

I love adding new strange people to my friends list! All my RL friends see it and are wondering what i got myself into...

I would argue that for every person who believes it is the best thing since sliced bread, there is another person who has been seriously burned by it.

Well, to each their own, privacy is important, feeling safe is even more so. If I don't know you in person you won't get added to my FB, equally if you are an acquaintance or someone I haven't even spoken to for 10 years.

Besides I can get the benefit of being informed about 'events' without also adding every Tom, Dick and Harry under the sun as 'friends'.

Well it's stupid to add random people just to show off that you have more friends than your friends do in the first place.
