I think you misunderstand.

They said you could revisit OLD PLANETS.

Meaning going to Tatooine pre-Fallen Empire.

But naturally you will not be able to experience the Jedi Knight story for instance on the Old planets if you hop in on level 60.

I guess there will be a choosing for "old" Tatooine and Fallen Empire Tatooine for examples how they can handle it.

You click on Planets - then you choose where to go - low level area or high level.

No big deal.

As for revamp:

I played the Knight story on my Sentinel now a second time.

And certain things have been changed.

Animations included, more elaborated story.

I am also experiencing the Sith Warrior Story on another toon and it is slightly different and polished...

More info - nicely summed up and presented.

As for clarifications:

They mentioned one hour story time per chapter means pure cutscenes and talks!

And it is said the 16 chapter are like Season One for this.

EACH chapter will have around one hour pure story time (cutscenes/talk) average.

Some chapters more, some chapters less.

16 hours cutscenes and talks sound like a impressive amount for me.

Also the confirmation of companion romance as well as permanently losing companions sounds really great.

Finally only stuffing gifts into them will not be the only thing to decide if he or she likes you!

Sounds good. Really looking forward to the story stuff.

Here's hoping maybe the decisions I make will have an affect on all companions then, and not just the one I decided to bring with me.

Q&A from the gamescom cantina tour. http://dulfy.net/2015/08/06/swtor-games ... a-tour-qa/

Some curious stuff in there. Tried to pick out the better ones.
  • No new ops this year.
  • Will Operation gear tiers be removed? Enitre game reitemized, changed almost every quest
  • New Fleet where the Imps / Pubs actually can talk and interact. similar to Ziost but imagine it being the "new" hub of the expansion. It is close to the size of the current fleets, main level
  • What happens to companion armor currently equipped if we may lose some of them in the expansion? Don’t worry we will tell everyone beforehand what to do.
  • What about lvl 50 space missions? He smiled and then said, "Don’t worry, we have something up sleeve for that.
  • Companions are being changed so you choose them based on their story aspect (i.e. who you like) rather than what they can do abilities wise. More details on this later.
  • Base game has been modified to reduce the time it takes to reach 1-60 (150-200 hrs) to the time it takes to finish KOTOR for example.
  • With restructuring of the companions, what does it mean for crafting? No comment at this time. There are some big changes coming with crafting that I am not going to get into it as that is something we will announce later on. Companions play into that so you can expect some changes.
  • Chat bubbles/hood toggle? There is a performance issue with chat bubbles and we are working to solve that as it is something we really want. It is not a promise though.
New hub, finally!! Please be a proper hub with all the needed things that can be reached in every way one can reach fleet.

To the time you finish KOTOR in huh? So, 40 hours or so with most sidequests (KOTOR that is)? Wonder how that will be done.

Chat bubbles being a performance issue still baffles me... Also, unless we're talking crippled performance on even the strongest rigs why not just give us the option to take the performance hit?

Oh, some completely useless triva as well.
Very early designs for SWTOR had a free roam space where you can drive your ship around and AT-AT walkers you could drive.

Umm, well...it sounds like typical bad "AWESOME!" communication from Bioware.

Sigh.

Large smokescreen and only tiny bits of infos.

So basically he said:

"It will be AWESOME! But...I can't go into detail - there will be major changes. Did I say to you it will be AWESOME?"

I think we can cut the Cantina Tour - you can't get much from it.

I think we will get the changes in approximately one month.

When they roll out a bit more about what will change - and how much.

At least that is my guess.

Certainly wouldn't hurt them to give a few more details. Sure, of course you want to spread out the info over the time to release but it isn't exactly far off.

I'd be happy if they just showed us the demo the press got back around the announcement, don't see the point in showing them and having them write about it rather than just showing it to us directly. Was hoping that would be the promised in-game stuff for gamescom but apparently that was just the recent "in-game" trailer...

Got some details on crafting as well as the mods.

There will be some revamp of the materials and some streamlining.

here is what TOR has to say about it...

Interesting info.

And definitely more facts then the Bioware talk.

Also some new impression about the look of the game - and some looks at the fleetstyle of the new faction.
