Main form:
Have you read and understood our rules?
Yes I have, great rules, one of the reasons I'm applying to you.
Are you at least 18 years old?
And then some. And then some more.
Introduce yourself. Who are you?
I'm Steve. I'm English. Long time gamer, long time RP and long time MMO. My main game has been Lord of The Rings Online, since it came out practically. I am a Founding Officer in a mature RP Guild kind of like what yours seems to be. For reasons I'm not permitted to disclose if you take my drift, I realise LOTRO is soon no longer going to be the game for me so I finally decided to give my other favourite fantasy world a try out.
And wow! Took out an initial 2 month sub immediately. I haven't had so much fun in ages
Are you interested in roleplaying and if yes, how much time do you like to spend on it?
I joined this server because it was the RP one. My character is in the development stage as my knowledge of the Old Republic is thin. A couple of pricey hardbacks will be with me from Amazon tomorrow. I really like to immerse myself in the mythos of fantasy worlds.
What do you think the Kestrel Minority would be able to offer to you and what you, in turn, to the guild? What content are you most interested in (RP, PVP, PVE, endgame and so on... )?
I guess I'm looking for what my LOTRO Guild offered people. A good RP environment, mature social people who are ready to help new players with advice and be companions in arms when needed. I'm likely to be on several nights a week and for substantial parts of the weekend. I got a job and Real Life can be unpredictable though.
I'm more interested in PvE than PvP. What can I offer? Enthusiasm I guess, a willingness to help out and join in.
What is your primary character's name? (The character you are going to be joining The Kestrel Minority with)
"I'm Taygoss, buddy. That'd be CAPTAIN Taygoss if some low life hadn't made off with my ship. BIG mistake. What's it to you anyway? You some kind of cop? This place was like this when I got here anyway. Mostly. Wasn't looking for no more than a quiet drink. Besides, he shot first."
As you've guessed. He's a smuggler. Level 6 at the moment and I'm not sure which way to take him. Is he more of a Clint Eastwood/Jerusalem Man (from the David Gemmell novels) or is he more of a Han Solo scoundrel? I got a couple of apps for the ipad to check possible builds. Character-wise I'm trending towards Scoundrel but I'm open to advice as I'm not sure how the class plays in practice. Will need to do some more reading.
Optional Extras:
What can I say - this game looks fantastic. At first I thought I'd treat it like Neverwinter (which I played a lot on for a while). Basically a free single player action game. But SWTOR is so much better and my character immediately took on a life of his own.
