Anyone up to new multiplayer version of classic Elite? I played the original at 80's and I'm a project backer. I'll be participating beta testing starting Jan 2014.

Haven't put any money down for it yet but I'm watching it and will likely get it when it releases or even gets a beta. Same goes for Star Citizen.

At the moment I'm a bit worried by Elite though, they're set for a release early in 2014 and we've seen very little gameplay yet.

I did see that trailer and it looks really nice. Rendered in-game and gameplay are two very different things though.

True, I'm really looking forward to see actual in-game videos. I'll be posting those here as soon as there any any available.

Project is entering backers alpha testing phase at December 2013, I suppose then there will be lot of gameplay videos available.

Looking forward to seeing some videos from it. That said, from what I gather it'll be a very rudimentary alpha set up to test certain things in certain ways, it's not the whole game but a very early state or anything like that.

I find it kind of silly how they only let backers who paid 200£ in to this alpha. That's really the reason I've yet to pledge anything to Elite: Dangerous, you have to pledge a lot to get in to the real early stages and you don't really get a lot for that money (specially not the last three tiers).
