Application from Heirax.

Main form:
Have you read and understood our rules?
-I have. My compliments to you guys for enforcing decency in the guild.
Are you at least 18 years old?
-I'm 5 years older than that....give or take.
Introduce yourself. Who are you?
-I'm a 23 year old male from one of the problematic southern European countries. Just moved abroad from home, trying to start a new life..yet my gaming habits haven't changed, and I doubt they ever will. (Maybe when I have kids? Dunno). I've played my fair share of f2p MMOs, although being a casual player, I quit most of them out of boredom before reaching endgame in any of them. (The fact that most of them were grindfests at the time didn't help either )
Are you interested in roleplaying and if yes, how much time do you like to spend on it?
-I'm very interested to get started in RPing, as I haven't really explored that side of SW:ToR. RPing would be just another thing to do in this game, which is always a good thing. I'm prepared to get into it headfirst.
What do you think the Kestrel Minority would be able to offer to you and what you, in turn, to the guild? What content are you most interested in (RP, PVP, PVE, endgame and so on... )?
-There's pretty much only one thing I need(and I'm hoping I'll find in the guild), and that's a band of friends to share our gaming experiences together. Concerning my contributions to the guild...I dunno, just another person to RP/chat/play/lol with?
What is your primary character's name? (The character you are going to be joining The Kestrel Minority with)
-Since I read that the Smuggler story is funny and all, I decided to re-roll as a Smuggler. Just reached lvl10, picked Scoundrel. His name is Heirax.
Introduce your primary character. (In-character)
Heirax was born into what constitutes for "nobility" on Nar Shaddaa. His father was a Casino Tycoon; his influence was second only to the local Hutt crimelords who had complete control over the underworld scene. Thus, Heirax grew up into luxury, even though that came with a price. Being the son of such influencial person, and considered by many the new "Casino Prince", who would be the heir to his father's dynasty, Heirax was forced to grow up in an oppressive, over-sheltered environment, filled with paranoia and traumatic events.
Heirax had decided from an early age however, that he didn't want to be part of any of that. He was always the rebellious type, having all sorts of disregard and disrespect for authority no matter the form. He had also developed as an arrogant, hotheaded, and narcisistic person; the result of many years of spoonfeeding by his rich parents and extended family.
Having the utmost confidence in himself, as every spoiled child, he ran away from home and decided he wanted to live life at random, as a space pirate wannabe. Deciding that life is too short to put oneself in unpleasant circumstances, he has no care in the world, and never takes into account any kind of consequences his actions might have. Whether said consequences affect him -or others around him- in a positive or negative manner, is something he simply can't be bothered to care about.
That being said, Heirax is not a bad person. His heart is more often than not in the right place, and despite his obvious talent with the blaster, his immature, thickheaded and rude behaviour often gets in the way of whatever moderate success in life he might normally have.
Needless to say his father is still alive, and has been looking for his missing son ever since. Thus Heirax has to constantly move from place to place in order to not get subdued by his father's goons. He welcomes the challenge though, saying how it adds to the "space pirate life" he wants to have.
Would you like to RP your way into the guild? If yes, when would you generally be able to meet an officer in-game?
-Even though I'm not familiar with RPing in SWTOR, I wouldn't mind RPing my way in, but on the othe hand, I wouldn't want to annoy the person RPing with me since I'd stumble around a lot, so...
Optional Extras:
Do you have prior experience with roleplay?
-I have RPed in a couple of forums and stuff, although I reckon RPing in the game is a completely different experience altogether. I'm afraid someone will have to show me the ropes from square one, so the answer to the question is..."no".
Where did you find out about our guild?
-The old fashioned way. I searched the forums and decided to join the advertisement that I liked the most
Do you have anything else you'd like us to consider when reviewing your application?
-Well seeing how I almost forgot about it, I should tell you guys a little bit about my schedule, in order to avoid any misunderstandings. I'm online on Heirax on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, and definately on during the weekend. Wednesday-Thursday-Friday are my busy days, and I won't have time to log in at all. So if we haven't reached each other by tomorrow afternoon or something, it'll have to be during the weekend (unfortunately). I hope I made things easier by writing this lol
