Yeah, I know what you were thinking when you read the Subject of this topic! You were thinking that I was going to divulge insider secrets as to the official release date! Believe me, if I had such insider secrets, I would!


Alas...

I do not.


Nevermind!


But in the meantime let's make things interesting - EA/Lucasarts have already indicated that they are expecting to make the launch somewhen during the latter half of 2011. But - in true Developer style, they are leaving anything more definitive to pure speculation by us followers!

So, because Yogash seem's adament on a date in September... the pool is now open!

Simple rules (because I'm only simple-minded...):

• Price to Enter: 25credits
  25cr will grant you to enter one date into the pool.
  All dates to be entered as dd-mm-yyyy
  Dates are allocated on a first-come first-serve basis (in chronological order of posts)
  Please make a reply in this thread with your requested date(s) and I will add them into the post made below this one (which I will reserve) to make it easier to follow.
  Each person may enter a maximum of three dates. (Or maximum of 75cr)
  Upon OFFICIAL announcement (by EA and/or Lucasarts/Bioware) of the Launch Date, any posts made on/after that date in this thread will not be counted and the bet will close.
  The winner will then be announced, along with the prize he/she has one.
  The winner will be the player who's chosen date falls closest (or directly on!) the official launch date.

If an open beta is launched, or a pre-entry offer is made, this date will not count!
This poll is for the OFFICIAL LAUNCH DATE, which will be marketed by EA separately.


Now - what you are more interested in - the prize money! Obviously, it will be the sum raised by those that enter! I will also add an additional 100cr on top of that sum to go to the winner.

The prize will be delivered in-game upon launch (So keep this thread as proof your winnings!!)



On a side note: Because we do not know what economy is going to open like upon launch it is difficult to judge what is an appropriate amount of credits to put into this. But, it is just a bit of fun after all!

EDIT: In light of recent game-play footage released, I have revised this and decided that I will increase the Bonus I will add to the winnings. The new Bonus is 400 Credits!

I see a trend here, in that everyone takes our visionary Yogash's advice to heart. I would normally also be heading in that direction, but let me be a bit more pessimistic and take the following dates:

6th of October
13th of October
20th of October

Yes I have noticed that September is very much the favourite - maybe the cost for that month needs increasing!

I was thinking something along the lines of October as well though.
