hey darlings,
I'd love to see our recruitment thread on the SWTOR forums a bit more active. It really shows people we're dedicated and passionate about The TKM.
Go on, bump yer baby

Re: Bump for your future
Well you know I am bumping it at least once a week, thursday night or friday morning to make the best of the friday update hype. But yes more life in the thread would be grand.

That bit is good but if you just go to the guild and not thro' the guild hall there are two latest posts one private one public.

Re: Bump for your future
Ideally, everyone in the guild would bump our SWTOR website post once a week, at least. I mean we all log on to SWTOR.com every other day I assume to check for updates and see what is kicking..so while you are there...
One thing I want to warn peeps about, is that making overly conversational posts to bump our thread that have nothing to do with recruitment, can lead to posts being deleted. Usually someone has to complain, but lets stay safe.
We can make a post for every new member we get
we can advertise our roleplay story
updates to our website
votes on our TOR setup
alliances
just keep it ticking along nicely.

Keeping the things on the site up to date is time consuming hehe. Well that's my excuse anyway.

Not so sad Kaeth
I check it every day also, even hang around the SWTOR forums, and stay logged in on our site also during work hours (however I only check once an hour or so).
So nothing sad at all! *defends himself as well with this*

Re: Bump for your future
I'm wondering if there seems to be a little too much stress and angst over recruitment. There isn't even a launch date yet and it feels like we're worrying a little too much about filling up the guild. At this point I would think that people who want to pre-join will find us themselves, but beyond that the best time and way to recruit is through the game by meeting people with an active guild etc no?
Plus there is something to be said for quality over quantity too right? It totally depends on the type of guild the people want of course. But once you start going over the 40+ mark you become more of an impersonal raiding machine rather than a close-knit group. As it is I doubt we would be raiding right off the bat anywho. I know I certainly won't be rushing to end-game and I kinda gathered that is the feeling with a number of you? And even at the moment of raiding, if you start having too large a guild, you start having problems of juggling sign ups, people feeling pressured that they have to play more than others to be sure to have a spot each week etc.
This is just my two credits of course and perhaps I'm wrong. I just feel that we shouldn't be worrying overly. We're a good group and people who are looking for similar things will find their way to us. At least for now while the game is not even out. Once we're in game of course, the guild would carve its way by just simply being epic and legendary in everything we do!

I agree with Bear here (yes I like to call him that!). To be perfectly honest, I hate nothing more than an oversized guild, not implying that we are anywhere near that yet, but then again, what he said, we shouldn't worry too much.

Re: Bump for your future
Absolutely. But at the same time it's nice to build awareness of your guild in the run up to launch.
I think we have a very solid core now, and more. 20+ people is more than adequate. We also have a good spread of classes/roles.

We need more smugglers if I don't want to get to be justifiably blamed for everything all the time!Kaetha wrote: We also have a good spread of classes/roles.
