I seriously hope i am not stepping out of line here. And if you think this suggestion is totally crazy, please forgive me for meddling.
Yesterday i was thinking a bit about what to do with the potential members whom are posting applications on your guild during your "lock down" period.
And it occurred to me you might be able to make sort of a "holding pen", where you could invite people.
The way i see this, it would work both IC and OOC.
Say, make a guild called "Kestrel Konsortium" or "Kestrel Impex". I am guessing an organization like the Kestrel Minority would have several "public fronts" - and this could be one of them.
IC new potential members could be approached to do business on behalf/for this new guild, and it would give "the real" Kestrel Minority a chance to sound out people, and find out if they are fitting to enter the real "inner circle".
OOC it would be a place to "hold" the potential new members. And it would give the new members "a place to be", while waiting for the lock down to end. New potential members would get a better chance to build up "pre-stories" of how they meet and got to know each other, even before entering the proper guild.
And yes........ i thought up all this, because i am lonely, and miss to be in a guild. But just because it is a plan based on egoism, it does not mean it is a bad plan
Anyway, i know it will take extra work, and i also know it is not really my place to suggest something like this - since i am not even a member of the guild. However, i had the idea, and thought it was good enough to share.
