I have never played a healer before in any game. I originally was going to play a Jedi but went to Trooper in the beta to avoid spoiling it and fell in love. I was hybrid to 50 and then went pure healing. Then the commando was nerfed - to the extreme. I found it hard to do dailies at 50 and to finish my class story - still not complete. It was then that I practically stopped playing. I have read around and the general impression of the Commando fraternity is that the class is now pointless. It cannot heal and it under performs in dps.
I am not one to give up that easily though. So Trillion 'hatless' will stay at home and hope one day he will come out to play again and meanwhile i will start a new character, probably a Jedi. It may well be that by the time TSW is launched i will be having loads of fun and i will divide my time 4 ways - if not it may well mean my time with TOR ends.

hey there, silgan is now inside a pvp guild (commando healer).. eventhough i think i am not a bad healer i am way behind most sage healers...
if i heal 300k they heal 500k... and when i had my max around 500k the sage had...indeed around 700k.. it sucks for sure when you know you play to the max.. and i surely hope it will change someday.. i asked in guildchat..hey guys i am a tiny bit frustrated.. i never can reach a sage ... respond: commando sucks in the end. dps isnt great and healing as well... BUT i still like silgan

I'd like to offer more than vague hope but Bioware hinted somewhere (I think it might have been some of Raiah's links) that some class nerfs might have been a mistake and they may yet go around another overhaul.

Yup, it's from one of the Q&As, it was more about the fact that they realized the way they nerfed things in 1.2 was wrong, that is change mechanics and lower utility instead of simply adjusting the number. They've also said there are balance changes coming in 1.3 though, let's hope this bunch is better
